Before i get into my post, hope everyone, whether you celebrate it or not had a good time over the holidays, especially Christmas as the occasion itself.

Anywho'ssss...

I was super excited for Christmas this year, don't get me wrong, I'm excited every year, but this year was different. I didn't get a chance to spend it with fam last year as they were in NY celebrating it with the extended fam. Therefore, i was left alone... and that wasn't the first time either. Due to certain circumstances i couldn't leave the times they were up in NY celebrating. So this year's excitement was off the hook for me.

I was so anxious for school to be done with for the semester so i can finally get my Christmas game face on, lol. But............. things def did not go as i expected. It was an extremely very quiet Christmas and def not what i expected. I was just waiting for it to be done with so we can move on with the next day. Not tryna sound all Grinch and what not, but it just wasn't the greatest for me. Certain things took place that weren't supposed to and plans failed due to those issues.

I'm really hoping next year will be what i wanted this year... although i am def not gonna expect anything. Seems like when you don't expect something outta anything... there's no disappointment, and for next year's Xmas... I'm gonna play just that way.

Take a moment

So I just found out that Brittany Murphy passed away yesterday, at 32 years old...with no history of health issues. She collapsed early morning and passed away of natural causes. In the past two weeks I've been told about another two entirely unexpected deaths.

It's kinda crazy to think we could go at anytime...regardless of age or health. Makes you think about how we take for granted the time we have here. I think I'll put a little extra effort into enjoying myself, focusing on the positives and eliminating the negatives in my life in the new year.

R.I.P to all those who have passed away and hold a special place in our hearts.

My deepest apologies for the lack of TLC I've been providing lately.. I thought when I finished school I'd have more time for you but apparently not! Can't even blame it on the xmas shopping since I've bought a total of... TWO presents thanks to the pushiness of Cass. :)

Can you believe Christmas is only 4 days away!?? I've been so busy catching up with people and taking some time out for myself and sleeeeping that I didn't even notice the time just flyying by!

Looking forward to the holidays...family, friends, FOOD and another 3 weeks off! Craaaazy!

Encountering Coincidences...

This past Saturday... the bf and I exchanged gifts. We were pretty sure we weren't gonna see each other for Christmas, so we did it ahead of time. So we exchanged the big gifts first... then on to our last one, and turns out..................... we got each other the same freakin thing. I opened his first and it was an album that's in the pic above. I was SHOCKED, cause i was thinking "damn i got the same album, wtf." So i smiled large and played it off cause he didn't open mine yet. His turn>>> He opens mine and he got up off the bed with shock, LOL. What the heck are the odds????!! The only difference between what we did was that he printed out pics of US and the places we've been to, and i printed out pics of his photography, that i wanted him to make an album out of for keepsake.

What were the chances of us both thinking of the same idea, yet alone grabbing the same album. Insanity! I immediately took a pic via the bb and sent it to Mon, lol. We were all so damn shocked of the coincidence. While the night grew, i was thinking and realized... it wasn't so much so a coincidence, we just have the same taste in certain things. We know each other really well. And this was a sign of how much more we knew each other and what we both liked. It was definitely a priceless moment :) Awesomeness with a capital A!

A feeling of relief.

As i sit here after emailing the end of my assignments to my profs, it finally kicks in... another semester is over. A feeling of relief runs through my vains. No more assignments and exams for a while. 3 weeks of break that i am so looking forward to. I am also looking forward to this weekend, the bf and I usually exchange gifts before xmas, for we're too busy with fam stuff during the week of. Tomorrow is the last day of classes, i am definitely gonna enjoy my break, even if it means doing squat shit :)

Snow White

I looked out my window today and saw SNOW! Damn, this is some real shit, we're back on bringing out the north face and the canada goose. I can't stand winter. I mean, yeah it looks all pretty and shit for christmas season. But... wearing boots, a hefty jacket, scarfs and the whole nine is so bothersome. Then you get somewhere inside, and you're all hot and what not, gotta take everything back off. That's one of the sole purposes of why i can't shop during winter time. There's no way i wanna try clothes on in a store and have to take all that ish off. Way too much work.
Anyhow... back to how it snowed today. So yuppers... Toronto had its first official snowfall today. Life sucks! Winter is depressing. I'm gonna go in hibernation now.
But on a brighter note: School is done for the semester next week :) Well this week for Mon, that lucky heifer!!!!! Nevertheless...I cannotttt wait

So I'm sitting on the train beside this girl... Her boyfriend is standing in front of her. I have no idea what they were talking about cause I was bumping to some Avant "making good love" ;), lol. Anyhow, so I look from the corner of my eye, and homegirl is pushing her face in her man's private. Ummm... Ok then. After, he starts caressing her face, then puts his finger in her mouth while she sucks on it. Then she pushes her face back on his "shit," he pulls his shirt up and she kisses his stomach. I'm sitting there thinking WTF is wrong with people.

I guess their act suited my music, but I'm not sure if I'll be bumping to any "making good love" anymore, lol.
I just want this day to end... That shit was disturbing.

Michael Oher (pronounced Orr) aka Big Mike

While everyone was lining up to watch "New Moon," the bf and i decided to check out "The Blind Side" in theatres on Sat, and i must say that i was very impressed with the movie. I would suggest people to watch it if they haven't yet. Considering this movie is based on a true story, it makes it 10x better.

The story is based on the football player Michael Oher. He came from the projects and was the son to a mother who was addicted to crack cocaine, and to a father who got murdered and who he hadn't seen since he was a baby. It's a pretty sad story and his life was def no where close to perfect.

To make a long story short... The Tuohy's took him in when he had no where to go. It started by a good gesture and turned into them giving him a home to live in with a new family. They welcomed him with open arms and changed his life drastically.

I've pretty much pointed to what the story is about, don't wanna get into details... but... i suggest you go watch it.

After all... there is hope for the good out there =)

... I guess this only applies to the people who've always spent a cold winter for christmas. Have you ever wondered what christmas would be like in warm weather? I mean i can't. I've been in Toronto ever since i was a kid and i can't remember what it was like to spend christmas in warm weather. I was thinking about it today and i thought it was so weird. It def wouldn't be the same for me. I hate winter but it's def worth it during christmas season =)

Joy to the world...

... well joy to my world atleast! Christmas is near, i'm excited as always. There's just something so joyous about this specific holiday. I love it! I love to buy presents for my loved ones, and nothing makes me happier than seeing them happy when they open it. Hanging with the fam after midnight mass and opening gifts is the best feeling ever. Spending time with your loved ones on this specific occasion is just a different feeling overall. Def anticipating =) Won't be in NY this year :( but will be with all the people i heart with my heart!!!

Words of a Blackberry Newbie

I must say... I used to think the blackberry was all hype. But this thing is seriously impressive! I used to wait 2 minutes for a text to arrive, well 5 minutes if it were arriving in parts. Then of course I had to sort through the 1/2, 2/2(1/2)..etc. and put the 20,000 pieces together...15 minutes later I'm frustrated as shit and have no clue what the hell this person is trying to say.

The Berry is literally instant! A bit overwhelming at first.. I don't suggest you tell ALL your peoples your pin at the same time...newbie mistake #5...

My overall evaluation of the berry..10/10. And i still got alooota roaming through my phone to do.

Saw you with the Goose last night...

K.... so i know winter is approaching right? It's gonna get fuckin cold and shit. Therefore a Canada Goose is a must have... BUT... is it really necessary to wear it yet?!?
Went to the movies last night, sitting in the theatre when home girl walks in with a red goose on.... Ummm. I actually get cold real fast, but last night was like what 10? I don't think that shit was needed. I was getting hot just looking at this girl. Shit like that irritates me. I believe we as a society need to reinforce that some pieces of clothing and styles should be reserved strictly for females.

I was about to get some food on campus today when I noticed a young "man" in sky blue tights. I lost my appetite. Was he a bicyclist you ask? No. He was not... A member of the wrestling club? I wish this was the case...however there was no excuse.

Now don't get me wrong.. I'm glad that men have taken to fitted styles rather than the oversized baggy look, however there is a very thin line between fitted and TIGHT. Tight is not sexy nor cute...no matter how much you've been working on your calves. If you aren't able to bend over in your jeans... or we can see things that would otherwise be left to our imagination (or even worse can't see) ... TOO tight and unacceptable.

Please help me save masculinity and support the movement against men in tights.

And to add to my list of things to do, you want me to pick up condoms?? You must be out your god damn mind!

What you NEED to do is recognize that you are lucky to be getting any tonight and do YOUR job, pick up the condoms, PAY for the condoms and perform. That’s it.

And ladies, if your man can’t do one of the three simple duties listed above...maybe YOU need to re-evaluate your requirements...cuz THAT ain’t right.

I was never into them to begin with. I don't find them appealing to be honest. But i remember when they first came out, i seen 1 person with them... then 2... now it seems like the whole city has 'em. I mean, if that's your thing then that's your thing. But i never got what was so likeable about them. There are other boots out there that look soooo much better.

Now lets get to the females who wear them with all that salt on them. Seriously!?!?! That's a no-no!!! So we acknowledge that Uggs are quite costly, therefore you try to hold on to them as much as you can. But once you got salt on them... homie you need to get rid of those. I mean... you look good from head, making your way down to your toes... umm NO! I tell my girls that all the time if i see that shit. If you know me, you best believe i'm putting you on blast. Atleast clean those bad boys off. Maybe, this winter there will be a diff style of boots out that people will jump on. I'm crossing my fingers...

Me: Just cause you've been together long don't mean shit. I mean you don't even have any kids who sleep in your damn bed with you to interrupt. Don't you think there's something wrong here? I mean it's cool if it's a sometimish thing... but how long has this been happening for?

Me: I think it's time you drop his ass!!!

Not saying that relationships are only about sex. But i am saying that it is hella important to have it on a regular basis. I mean... is you being in a long term relationship really an excuse. Shouldn't you still be attracted to your significant other? Esp if you're seeing your man/woman about once a week... Isn't that more of a valid reason to want it? I'm not saying you gotta be sexing like they do on the discovery channel... but shit... being in a relationship, sex is def def one of the most important things.
You know when your significant other isn't always in the mood or is too tired or always has some jacked up excuse (or who knows, his/her ass is still getting that shit somewhere)... you need to fix that problem. Try to find other ways to light up that fire. If that shit ain't gonna work then you need to drop his/her ass. He's/she's obviously not attracted to you anymore, you need to find someone who will appreciate you sexually. IMO, sex def perks up your relationship more. That shit is so important.

If my man was only feeding me twice a month, things would def be diff between us right now.
